We're kicking off our Magical Michelle Miniseries in the most pfantastical way we know how: by summoning the iconic combined diva powers of Cher, Susan Sarandon, and La Pfeiffer and diving into the pool of deliciousness that is THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK. This pfilm gets one sweet and one sour reaction from us, as we discuss Alan Alda's second take as actor-director-writer hyphenate, and wish he'd maybe done just one instead. We also talk about how adorable Lillian Gish is (in her second-to-last film role), and try to answer the age old question: Was Michael Caine Hot?

Remember two episodes ago when a certain ocean movie broke Jerry? Well, this Pfriday we present The One That Broke Michael or, as it is more commonly known, PERSONAL EFFECTS. This indie exploration of grief gives us a scowling Ashton Kutcher, the always welcome opportunity to talk about Kathy Bates, and a really beautiful and understated performance from Michelle. We also do a heavy dive into the fractured release of this film and how films featuring bankable movie stars all but fall through the cracks.

Raise your glass, Pfeiffer Pfans! The ball's about to drop and there are resolutions to get made, which can only mean one thing: it's NEW YEAR'S EVE, the star-filled holiday saga that asks you to try and remember why certain people were stars back in 2011. In the mix of a painful Katherine Heigl, a rage-filled Sarah Jessica Parker, and an uncomfortable Hilary Swank is an incredibly charming Hairspray reunion between La Pfeiffer and Zac Efron (at peak himbo), which includes Michelle doing something truly extraordinary. The pfabulous Pfeiffer boys break out their spying cameras for this part mystery/part family drama and try to answer these burning questions: where is Michelle's lost child? How was Brenda Strong born a Desperate Housewife? And why did the screenwriter have to do this to us? Come for the lowdown on the movie, stay for the pre-anniversary reminiscing about our favorite podcast moments so far, in honor of us almost being at the halfway point!

This Pfriday wraps up our Pfeiffer/Landis double feature with AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON, one of the oddest entries in the Pfeiffer pfilmography, but also a very pleasant surprise. Since this movie reminded us both of a feature-length SNL episode, we'll let you know that this episode has everything: La Pfeiffer wants to see her baby, Froot Loops, random memories of the movie Doubt, David Alan Grier just wanting to sing some good old-fashioned tunes, the Loch Ness monster, Steve Guttenberg being daddy, and your resident pfabulous Pfeiffer boys as Statler and Waldorf. It's a wacky episode to match a wacky movie.
