X2M.189 QOSHT קֹשְׁטְ | Transfer of Signal Flag
Qosht — related to the root קֹשֶׁט meaning “truth, firmness” — is enthronement’s emblematic act: the transfer of the signal flag. In the ancient world, banners were not decorative but decisive, rallying points for identity and authority. Scripture echoes this: “Raise a banner on a bare hilltop, shout to them” (Isa. 13:2)⁵. The standard was the visible proclamation of truth and legitimacy.
In PH12 Stariser sequence, Qosht follows covenant (Qumah) and renaming (Qarah). The enthroned is now not merely crowned or named but proclaimed. Authority is transferred into visibility, a truth made public. To bear the signal flag is to make enthronement manifest to nations, much as Moses’ staff lifted in battle became the rallying point for Israel (Exod. 17:11–15)⁶.
In Christ, Qosht reaches its paradox: His cross itself becomes the banner. “When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself” (John 12:32)⁷. The crucifixion is enthronement-as-flag: truth lifted high, both scandal and salvation. Revelation extends the image: “They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph… and with Him will be His called, chosen, and faithful followers” (Rev. 17:14)⁸.
Thus Qosht is enthronement’s emblem star — the rallying standard raised in truth. Crown (Qumah), name (Qarah), and now flag (Qosht) complete the triad of enthronement’s visible order. The enthroned King and His people are signaled to heaven and earth alike, their truth unfurled as banner and witness.
