We regret to inform you that Kai’s Phage obsession has entered what experts are calling the “no-return phase.” Multiple sources close to the situation (i.e. us) report he’s started referring to losses as “inevitable consequences of brilliance.” His entourage is pushing for an intervention, but Kai insists it’s all part of his visionary arc. We’ll see how that’s going.

Meanwhile, Julian has returned to the MTGO grind with Painter, only to discover that (shockingly) the format has not undergone a spiritual awakening in his absence. Turns out, Legacy is still Legacy, and Painter still paints.

Callum, now employed and therefore morally obligated to pretend he has less free time, predicts change is coming. Some new cards are arriving, and one of them might even achieve the sacred status of Ledger Shredder of the Set™ ; but let’s not kid ourselves, the rest will end up in binders or bulk boxes by the weekend.
