Dr. Anna Shields is now a Clinical Pharmacist in Seattle, Washington working for Kaiser who completed her PGY-1 at Kelley-Ross Pharmacy Group One reason she chose her site was the progressive nature of the state that now offers provider status for pharmacists. 

She was an intern at NuCara Pharmacy in Pleasant Hill, Iowa as part of Drake College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Delta RX. She also worked with me as a curricular development assistant at Des Moines Area Community College.

Now Brandon Gerleman is a Clinical Pharmacist at Montross Pharmacy in Winterset, Earlham and St. Charles, recently elected to the Madison County Board of Health and on the Iowa Pharmacy Association Legislative Committee. Winterset is in Madison County made popular through the novel and film The Bridges of Madison County. Dr. David Zgarrick of Northeastern University created a Facebook group that he writes " will serve as a discussion forum for topics of interest in PHMD 5250 (Pharmacy Care Management) over the summer semester." I reached out to him as a former faculty member from the Midwest and had a good discussion about strategies for improving your entrepreneurial and business acumen.

A busy pharmacist mom started a group on Facebook which has taken off to include over 3,000 members. In this episode, I am privileged to interview Suzy Soliman, PharmD, BCPS, A Chief Academic Officer at the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) and University of Illinois at Chicago graduate about the importance of recognizing pharmacist moms and providing support and networking for them.
