It's the second special COVID-19 shutdown edition of the PHD Podcast!
This week Mitch discusses the status of some of the current local rinks, congratulates Brady's Run on winning the 2020 Renovate the Rink, as well as talking about the way the Coronavirus is concerning everyday life.
We welcome Carrick Cougars head coach Chris Serakowski to discuss the 2019-20 itineration of the squad, the fallout from the abrupt closure of venues and a hopeful look ahead at 2020-21. Following Chris is Chatham women's head coach Michael O'Grady, who discusses the D-III NCAA Cougars first postseason appearance, how technology helps in recruiting during this time and about having facilities at Pittsburgh Ice helps the program. We close with a check-in with our behind-the-scenes twitter guy and one of the Island Sports Center's living legends, Larry Snyder. Larry gives us a look at some more hockey (Pittsburgh Puffins, anybody?) and talks about how the shutdown changes every day life for the third-party operations side.
Give it a listen!
