Haggai’s third message is one of blessing. It was given three months after the Jews repented and restarted the work of the temple. (Haggai 2:10; 1:14-15) Previously they had experienced hardships at the hand of the Lord because of their disobedience. But because they had been obedient, God was going to bless them once again. The truth is that if you obey God, you will be blessed, and if you disobey, you will be punished. We will always reap what we sow. Therefore, we must obey God, and only then will we enjoy the greatest blessings of God.
