How do you know when you love the world? 2 Timothy 4:10 talks about how Demas who started off in the ministry well, didn’t finish well. Why? Because he loved this present world. When our love for things, possessions, and money consumes our thought life you will find neglect in our spiritual life. Listen as Pastor Omar expounds about the love of money.
Before salvation we are only worried about our plans, our pleasures, and our problems. Often times we take these same attitudes with us in salvation which makes us harsh, unpleasant, and a rough person to be around. Yahweh wants us to consider other people, how they feel, and have an awareness of those around us. This is the true meaning of gentleness & kindness. Listen as Pastor Omar expounds even more about Galatians 5:22.
The modern church teaches that a life of poverty makes someone less worldly than someone who is wealthy. This is furthest from the truth. The believer has to be concerned about the things of earth as well as the things of heaven. Listen as Pastor Omar expounds about what worldliness really is, what it is not, and the plantation theology that has held back Hebrew believers far too long.
In the second installment of “Long Suffering”, Pastor Omar expounds how God will develop long suffering in a believer’s life. Whether it’s with co-workers, siblings, friends, or even in marriage; God will use people to exercise our long suffering.
Long suffering is not a natural characteristic trait. What comes natural for us is to be short-tempered, short-patient, & overly critical with people. We may be able to show patience with things, but how is our patience with people. Enduring difficult situations or problems is one form of patience, but enduring difficult people is the true patience that the book of Galatians is speaking of which is to be long suffering.
While Yah tells us to flee fornication, he also tells us to RUN to marriage. Listen as Pastor Omar presents a thought provoking sermon on marriage and the purposes Yah intended marriage to be for.
The word shalom means peace. This peace is a total state of well being. It is not the absence of trouble, but it means that you have everything you need as you go through trouble. Listen as Pastor Omar expounds what the bible says is peace.
We often mistake brotherly love and romantic love to be the best forms of love. The truest and purest form of love is agape. This love surpasses all types because it seeks the highest welfare for another. Listen as Pastor Omar expounds about the most dominant fruit of the Spirit, LOVE.
Most times God does not tell us to run, but to stand. Stand firm and see the salvation of the LORD. There is one particular situation where God calls us to run & flee from and that is sexual sin. The only way to defeat fornication is to run away from it.
Being filled with the Holy Ghost is not a one time experience or moment. We have to be ever filled daily. When we are filled daily we can now walk in the spirit. Listen as Pastor Omar explains what walking in the spirit does not look like and next time learn what it does.
