When Kim Rhodes was diagnosed with breast cancer her then 7 year old daughter Brynne raised a hundred dollars to benefit breast cancer research by starting a pink lemonade stand. The Pink Lemonade Challenge has spread to 15 states and raised over 10K. Over the course of eight weeks, 15 high school students are guided through curriculum based instruction, experiential learning opportunities, uniquely engaging field trips, and professional development training. Last month I had the pleasure of hosting the highschool students taking part in the program. Afterwards I brought them into the studio to for an interview to get their views on the things adults don't understand about teens, their hopes and fears and their visions of their futures.
