They discuss an upcoming Black Girls RUN! 2017 Sweat With Your Sole in Philadelphia, September 29-30, 2017. Loraine also talks with representatives from Strawberry Mansion CDC, the Audubon Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Outward Bound School about the exciting project – the Discovery Center. The groundbreaking venture will provide programs for youth and preserve a unique habitat in the East Park section of Fairmount Park. There will be a town hall meeting Wednesday September 6th at Cornerstone Baptist Church 2117 N. 33rd Street from 6-8 pm to introduce the Strawberry Mansion community to the Discovery Center and its partners.

Diagnosed with childhood cancer at the age of four - Alex told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand to help doctors find a cure. That simple step blossomed into a remarkable movement and campaign that raised more than a million dollars by the time Alex passed away at the age of eight.
