In the Past few days since the NFL Draft ended, the Howie Roseman and the Eagles have been the busiest team in the league at adding veteran players at key positions of need. With the free agent signing of former eagles killer Ryan Kerrigan, the claiming of former 2nd round running back 2017 Kerryon Johnson off waivers and trading for 2020 4th round cornerback Josiah Scott from the Jaguars, the eagles have addressed almost every area of need with plenty of time to do more before the season starts in September. So in today's podcast we ask the question, is the Eagles roster better than everyone thinks they are? What holes in the roster are still left and what can the eagles do to fill them? Also I touch on the latest rumors around Zach Ertz's potential holdout/release/trade/who knows and some interesting comments made by Jason Kelce that makes it sound as if he's not as close to retirement as we all think.
The 2021 official NFL schedule was released and there's a lot to like about the it if you are an eagles fan! In todays podcast I go over the multiple ways the eagles will benefit from the leagues easiest schedule and how it could easily translate into them completing to win the division this season. I also go over some of the young players and draft picks I expect to play well for the eagles this season on offense and defense in today's episode number 30
Many believe Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles hit a home run on day 1 of the 2021 NFL draft, by jumping ahead of the New York Giants to select Heisman Trophy winner Devante Smith with the 10th overall pick. The second day on the other hand...feels like the exact opposite. As the eagles make the highly questionable decision to select the most injury prone player in the draft in the second round, then are caught on camera on live national television, arguing in the war room directly after making another questionable pick. In today's podcast episode #29 I talk about the eagles front office disfunction and drafting struggles that continues to plague this franchise. Also I go over all of the picks made so far by all of the NFL east teams to find out who is having the best draft so far, and what we can expect from the eagles on day 3, where they have the most picks in the entire NFL draft
The Philadelphia eagles made fire works in the first round of the draft by trading up with the Dallas cowboys to jump in front of the giants and steal the dominant, Heisman winning wide receiver out of Alabama! Howie comes out smelling like a Roseman for reading the board perfectly, maximizing the value of the 6th pick and nailing the 1st round pick to start the draft. I will also preview the best available players for the eagles to pick in round 2 and 3 of todays draft and go over what the other teams in the division did with their drafts so far. Who did the best in round 1? That answer and more in todays episode 28
In todays podcast episode 27, I go over the eagles draft board formula that will predict who they take with their first round pick. Also, just for fun i will take a trip down memory lane, and go over the best and worst draft picks in the eagles draft history of the last 25 years under owner Jeffrey Lurie. Who were the biggest swing and miss busts and who were the biggest steals they found in the late rounds? Plus the latest draft rumors. Eagles trading back up, Zach Ertz traded by the end of the draft and more...
Lets get ready for the NFL draft! In this episode I will be ranking the eagles position groups from worst to first to find their biggest needs heading into the NFL draft. Plus I will go over what players might be available round to round to fill those needs based on the eagles draft history and team building philosophy under GM Howie Roseman and Owner Jeffrey Lurie. Will they draft based on need or will they draft based on the positions thier history shows they value most?
The eagles signed Eric Wilson, a 26 year old middle linebacker from Minnesota who lead all NFL linebackers in interceptions last year, to a 1 year deal worth 3.25 mil. They also resigned Jordan Howard to a 1 year deal as well, so what do these signings mean for the eagles plans for these 2 positions in the draft? Also in this episode I continue my mock draft series, as we explore the possibilities of what positions the eagles will be looking at with their second and third rounds selections of the upcoming NFL draft.
In this podcast I reflect on the eagles shocking trade from 6th to 12th in this years NFL draft and go over several scenarios on how the next 2 drafts will play out now that the eagles have the most draft capital in NFL. I also go over the eagles draft history under Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie and how those results predict what positions the Eagles will probably take in the 1st and 2nd rounds in this year's NFL draft. Warning, 99% of eagles fans will not be happy about it, but you should probably prepare yourself to be disappointed ASAP!
I called it! In a move that I have been calling for for weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded back to the 12th pick, setting them up to possibly have 3 first round picks in next years draft! This move also says load and clear that the eagles are not drafting a QB with their first pick and that Jalen Hurts is the number 1 QB for at least this season. Plus, I go over the eagles draft history of the last 25 years under owner Jeffery Lurie to predict what position the eagles will now draft at number 12!
Washington and the Giants have been making big moves in free agency, are they setting themselves up to run compete for the NFC east title for years to come and are the Eagles and Cowboys falling way behind? Also which NFC east teams are in the best position to win the division next year and which teams are in the best position for long term success? That and more in this NFC east free agency recap episode 23
