It is a vivid description of all Jesus went through from the garden of Gethsemane, the pain of betrayal, his trial, scourging and the whole crucifixion and death experience. I will be juxtaposing this with the prophesies of the Old Testament and how that impacts on us today. This alone will change your life absolutely. It will give you a clearer understanding and perspective to the sufferings of Christ and his deep love for you.

We will be looking how the suffering, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus impacts on our lives, changes and places us in a different place with God. I will also highlight the victories we now have in and through him and what’s in it for us with all of these. Paul in his writings said ‘If Jesus hadn’t risen up, then our preaching and faith is in vain’.

In this episode, Pastor Philip Olubakin teaches on the covenant of service and why we should serve God.

Oftentimes, we are told that the reward for working for God is in heaven after all we are laying heavenly treasures for ourselves. While this is true, it is only true in part, as God doesn't want to wait till we get to heaven before he rewards us for our service. He is a practical being. He knows nobody will agree to work for their bosses if their contract says payment can only be received after death.

We do not serve our unit leaders or pastors. Our service is to God. If you decide to serve grudgingly, it is unto God. If you do so to the best of your ability, you're likewise doing it unto God and He always rewards accordingly.
