Philippians 1:1-11 – “I have you in my heart”
Philippians 1:10 – The “day of Christ” is probably referring to the judgment. See Philippians 1:6; 2:16.Philippians 1:12-20 – “Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice”
Philippians 1:12-13 – Paul’s imprisonment gave him the opportunity to speak to the guards. It also emboldened other people to keep preaching the gospel. Paul’s positive attitude set the tone for others.Philippians 1:19 – The “Spirit of Jesus Christ” is probably the Holy Spirit.Philippians 1:21-30 – “to live is Christ and to die is gain”
