Mr Newbury has been stabbed in the back and his dead body placed in an exhibit at the wax museum. Philo Vance has three suspects Frances the wife, Ed Newbury a nephew who apparently has nothing better to do in life than wait for the reading of his uncles will and Tom Rhinelander who to put it delicately is interested in Mrs Newbury.
