Today we talk about a heavy subject: Character death.

It can often take us by surprise when a character suddenly moves beyond the veil, and you never quite know how you'll feel about it until it happens. Having recently experienced character death in our own campaigns, we offer a fresh, if somewhat raw perspective on the subject. Hopefully our experiences can add value to your own campaigns and adventures.

So gather round as the hosts of the Philomythia Podcast tackle this most heavy of topics... and try not to cry in the process.

This is the first episode in a new series on the podcast where we review movies, TV shows, etc. as if they were a D&D game. To kick off the first episode, we picked 'The 13th Warrior' and it was FUN. We hope you enjoy it too!

This week we're returning to building our campaign world, and we now have a name! Hylica is the official name of the Philomythia campaign world. We also build a basic D&D character, have a hard time with math, and don't listen very well. Enjoy!

***TRIGGER WARNING*** We touch on some heavy subjects towards the end of today's last podcast. Our intent is how to handle topics in your game that may be triggering to some or all of your players. We hope you listen, but if you choose to skip, we'll see you next week!

The one in which we pull back the veil and look at those beautiful lines... from a cultural standpoint... Or is it an ancestral standpoint??? Wait, what was the question again? 🤔🤔🤔
