Dr. Michael "Mike" Wingert is a Syriac scholar, Semiticist, Dean of Agora University (an Afroasiatic Orthodox institute), and UCLA lecturer. He appeared, in June 2020, as a guest speaker to the live Tewahido Bible Study with the English-speaking adults of Virgin Mary's Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church in Los Angeles, CA. The rest of the live sessions have not been recorded, besides the 'intelligence' communities. Here you will hear a general overview of Syriac biblical exegesis, and some comparisons with sister tongue Ge'ez.
