Well it’s pretty much official. The Flyers 2024 first round pick Jett Luchanko appears to have made the team as a freshly turned 18-year-old. With cuts trimming the roster down to 23 and Luchanko still with the NHL club, signs point to both Matvei Michkov and Jett will be making their debuts on Friday October 11th in Vancouver.
Charlie & Bill debate the decision to keep Luchanko, as well as the rest of the roster fallout as the season draws closer.
We did it! Congratulations Flyers fans, we have survived another preseason.
On tonight’s postgame we’re discussing Jett Luchanko’s absence from a lineup comprised mostly of non-NHLers, as well as the performances of Philadelphia’s #2 & #3 netminders, Ivan Fedotov and Alexei Kolosov.
Bill, JP & Charlie also breakdown a strong Emil Andrae performance, and when the young defenseman might see time in the NHL.
Jett Luchanko remains with the “big club” group at Philadelphia Flyers training camp with only one preseason game left on the schedule, and only days remaining in camp.
Will Philly’s 2024 first round pick stick? Should Luchanko make the club?
Charlie & Bill discuss Jett, plus Matvei Michkov, Tuesday’s preseason game against the Boston Bruins, and much more!
It’s predictions day!
The NHL drops the puck on its regular season on Friday & Saturday (despite preseason games also being played those days) with the Global Series between the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres in Czechia.
So today we’re getting Flyers and league-wide predictions from Charlie, Kelly and Bill. From Flyers team awards to Stanley Cup champions, we’re making our most educated guesses. Don’t miss it!
Plus, some talk about Alexei Kolosov and Jett Luchanko.
The regular season draws one day closer following another Flyers preseason game in Philadelphia. Matvei Michkov scored another goal, Jett Luchanko seems to be making his push, and even Olle Lycksell looked pretty good on Saturday night.
Join Bill, Kelly & Charlie as they discuss all this, plus Ivan Fedotov’s performance, a power play looking a lot better than last year’s, and if any long shots have made cases for themselves to make the NHL roster.
It’s still the preseason but there are no off days for the Philadelphia Flyers. After Thursday’s impressive home debut for Matvei Michkov (1 G, 1 A) against the Islanders there’s plenty to discuss, from The Mad Russian’s expectations to Jett Luchanko’s chances of making the team.
Oh and did we mention that Alexei Kolosov has reported to training camp? And the NHLPA has officially filed a grievance on behalf of Ryan Johansen to appeal the Flyers’ terminating his contract.
There’s a ton to talk about on this beautiful Fall Friday, so don’t miss it!
On Wednesday morning, the Flyers announced their first round of training camp roster cuts. Still here is 2024 first round pick Jett Luchanko — and not only that, he's practicing with the NHL locks, just as fellow bubble players Olle Lycksell and Adam Ginning are.
Where does Luchanko (and Lycksell/Ginning) stand in terms of making the big club? Charlie and Kelly break it all down, in addition to the new entry-level contract handed to a new goalie.
After blowing out the Washington Capitals on Sunday night in their preseason opener, Montreal did the same to the Flyers on Monday, sending them to a 5-0 defeat.
With two preseason games now in the books, who has played themselves out of the NHL roster competition? Who is still in the mix? Charlie and Kelly break all the key players down, from Jett Luchanko to Ronnie Attard to Emil Andrae.
