USQ's Springfield campus will host one of the National Simultaneous Storytime events. This year's book is 'Alpacas with Maracas' by Matt Cosgrove. This weekend, the annual Paniyiri Greek Festival is returning to Brisbane for a two day celebration of Greek flavours, faces, and cultures. This marks the 44th time that Queensland has hosted the longest running cultural festival in Brisbane since its foundation in 1976 and it is expected that more than 60,000 people will celebrate Paniyiri with the 25,000 strong Greek Community of South East Queensland over May 17th and 18th.
