Phoenix Rising was poor throughout most of the match, failing to generate much of a sustained offensive threat. They found themselves down early off of a rudimentary defensive lapse.

The moments were few and far between and it would seemingly take something special for Rising to pull one back. They found their moment through Panos Armenakas equalizing off the bench.
