Once again South Africa is experiencing another wave of gender-based violence. GBV has been called South Africa's second epidemic where 1 in every 5 women are said to have experienced violence at the hands of their intimate partner or someone they know. This country has one of the highest rates of GBV and femicide in the world.

On this episode I share my thoughts on what I think we as a people can do, what the government is doing, could do more of, and I'm issuing a call to action for all men to be more visible and act against these horrific acts of violence.

Trained as a health and life/transformation coach Ranise Gillespie helps women design a life that is full and magical in their second half. She does this by helping them cultivate a mindset, authenticity, and intuition to be their best version yet.

Lueje Nzita is an 18-year-old who lives in Munich, Germany, where she is also doing her studies in New Media and Intercultural Communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Landshut.

Lueje has a podcast called "Spirit filled“ where she talks about trauma, relationships, cultural differences and living life as a young Christian in the western world. According to Lueje most people go through some level of trauma which shapes our personalities and how we are wired and how we think. Lueje likes to talk about not only the struggles and experiences but also about pleasing God.

Mpho is a South African podcaster based in Hawaii in the US. Her podcast is called "Journey with Mpho".  She is also a certified White Light and Karuna reiki practitioner.

Mpho and I did an episode a year ago and we met again this time to collaborate on this episode to discuss mental health. J. Rosemarie (Jennifer) drove 900 miles with her kids and all their belongings packed into their Toyota Camry to accept a two-week job. At the time she didn’t even know where they would live.

In this episode Jennifer tells me the story of her life, the many challenges she has had to overcome as a solo mom and what life is like as an empty-nester now that her boys have left home.

Emmanuel Enime left the USA and moved to Zagreb, Croatia, to follow what he recognized as God's calling for his life. 

He goes by the title of character coach, meaning, he helps people build their character. On this episode we discussed various ways in which he helps others build a better character such as daring them to do something out of character like singing loud in the public main square! Emmanuel maintains that if you can conquer your fears, like the fear of looking silly, you can be in a better position to hear and respond to God when he asks you to do something bold!
