Hello friends! Please say hello to my new friend, Hamish Mickey! :)

I adopted him from Denver Animal Shelter. He was brought there to get medical help, because he was hit by a car and ended up getting his leg amputated, so he's a tripod. That happened only a few weeks ago, so he understandably has a fear of cars when we go out for walks. But we'll work on it together. 💔💙

He hasn't figured out the Porch Potty is a potty place yet, but I think that will help when there's a lot of traffic (like rush hour around here - I live near a major boulevard) and he still needs to go, once he figures out why I keep bringing him out there.

His name at the shelter was Mickey, which I took as a sign, because the dog of my heart from childhood was a golden retriever named Mickey. :) But I've been thinking he's a Hamish too. So right now he's Hamish Mickey, Mickey Hamish. 😄🐕

He's still decompressing and getting used to me and his new home, but I hope he likes it here and we become good friends! 🥰

This is a nail file board for dogs. You put treats in the box, and they scratch at it to try and get at the treats. It may take a little practice/training, but I saw a couple of videos of dogs using them, so hopefully my future pupper does too. :) Since a lot of dogs don't like getting their nails clipped, I thought I would try this.

Hello friends! If you've entered one of my contests before, you probably remember that traditionally I have one of my kitties (Maggie used to do it too, before she crossed the bridge) decide the winner(s). Hello friends! I finally finished my aquarium remodel after a long time. I was originally going to make the satined glass into a new lid, but the glue came undone several times and then I broke a piece, and I was afraid that was too dangerous to use as a lid, because what if it broke and fell inside the tank? So instead I made panels to go on the skinny sides of the tank. They were very reflective, and I thought it would look pretty as well as diffuse the light somewhat and stop the reflection. Shocker: it didn't stop the mirror effect! Nor did window clings. Only stickers with actual stickyness on them did, so I stickered the small sides and then put the glass over that, held in place with Command strips. :)
