Phrigid Ice-cast

It's been too long folks. But I am actually revamping everything here on my podcasting site. Mainly gonna be drum n bass but I would like to get another Urban Saturation episode and possibly another Liquid Sorrow... but who knows. I am halfway done with Elemental Forms IV so that will be next.

But Elemental Forms III is a throw back to old school DnB. Mainly gathering tracks from the Moving Shadow Label but with other labels in there as well. a bunch of these tracks are from my record collection which I don't use enough... but please listen, enjoy and tell me what you think. I personaly love this mix and hope you do as well. -Phrigid-

This was supost to be a mix for Halloween but I'v been extremely busy. It has alot of tracks from Aphex Twin, and Delerium. After all the cheesey horror movies I've been watching lately, I started to pick up on my more gothic mood of atmosphere. You know the frightening feeling you get in a strange victorian house, or when you are in a dark place all alone... I love that tone of mood lately. so here is my attempt to recreate that feeling through some of the songs in my collection. Enjoy... -Phrigid-

This is a past mix I did when I was just starting to mix ambient IDM stuff. I tryed to capture the feeling of drifting into space visiting different worlds. Sounds out there huh? well listen and tell me what you think.

Climate Changes

Welcome again folks... Sorry for a slight delay on the episode. But this time around I decided to make a ambient set for the change of Summer into Fall. Which, by the way, happens to be one of my favorite seasons. I was going to actually play this set with me talking... kinda like a radio style show but I figure noone wants to hear my voice over these tracks if you are trying to sleep to it. And this is a very good set to relax or sleep to. Also this set has a track that takes me back to my childhood. I remember listening to the music in the whole Walt Disney World Complex and really feeling like I'm in another world... sounds corny, I know but listen to the track I'm talking about and you'll see (track 5). So Enjoy, Listeners to Climate Changes...

Well I see I'm getting hits... I surprised but thrilled that people are listening... I would love to hear what people think?... Comments would be awsome... On the same note I'm thinking of doing a mellow indie rock podcast... I have a hard time mixing these songs so you might hear me actually talk and do a real podcast if I do it. Scarey huh?

Anyhow... Urban Saturation is the first attempt at doing a hip-hop mix the way I would want to do it... Very emotional, mellow, and hip. I made this mix thinking more about skating due to the fact that I made it while running the recording studio at Woodward (www.Woodwardcamp.com). I got some good response from it for skating for a mellow session as well as chillin down, drinkin a martini after a long day. So here is my first instrumental hip-hop mix I like to call... Urban Saturation... Enjoy. -Phrigid-

sometimes you have to go back to your roots... I grew up listening to a wide variety of music. But for a long time I was entranced with the world of the mellower style of drum n bass, or so called "Intelligent Jungle". LTJ Bukem became my hero along with his Good Looking Records artists such as (at the time) Blame, Seba, Intense, Big Bud and more. With a Style different from the dark brooding, bass heavy sounds of the traditional drum n bass, this style incorporated more jazz, ambient, and not-so-hard textures over crisp, lush, complex beats. So this is a tribute to a style I don't hear so much anymore. I have found this mix to be great while driving, so grab some gas and start up the engine... here is Elemental Forms. -Phrigid-
