Today I'm with Homicide Lieutenant Gil Carrillo, the officer who caught Richard Ramirez (AKA the Night Stalker). For those who watched the Netflix documentary, you may recognise Gil. We discussed the case and looked at whether serial killers are born or made, the role of satanism/childhood abuse and if Ramirez was evil. 

I looked at some fascinating research from neuroscientist Jim Fallon into the criminal brain, so tune in for a ton of interesting content with renowned detective Carrillo. 

Today we are discussing elements of the Hellenistic period, looking at astrology and stoicism.  These ancient philosophical practices are extremely applicable in modern society, with stoicism being the ancient art of mindfulness and self-care. We discuss the teachings of Seneca and Aurelius and how you can use their teachings to lead a meaningful life.
