This is an opportunity for you all to hear the REALITY of what it is like to be a first responder. It is mentally, emotionally and physically taxing.
Jack Roney is a former Detective and criminal investigations police officer. Jack, turned to writing crime fiction in order to help heal from compassion fatigue while working within child protective services and criminal investigations.
As you would imagine, this kind of work can be harrowing and mentally fatiguing. This kind of work can spill over into your personal life and other areas. Writing and other forms of coping is what helped Jack to heal and grow.
He has written 3 amazing criminal fiction books:
The Angels wept
The Demons woke
The Shadows watch
He is an inspiration in my eyes and I for one am grateful for men like him in this world!
