Currently Head Coach of Great Britain U.18's girls and Nottingham Wildcats, he talks about his incredible journey both in America and the UK and the lessons he has learned along the way. Episode 7 - In this episode we talk to Coach Donna Finnie. The only British Coach that is a Head Coach at the NCAA D1 college level. She has a great background story and then talks in detail about how she runs her program and the types of players she aims to recruit. She is a real trail blazer for British coaching and I hope this story will inspire others to take a similar route.
Episode 6 of the Pick and Pop Podcast is with one of the rising stars of British Coaching - Coach James Vear. He has already coached professionally in Canada and Denmark, and at present is the Head Coach of one of the top Academies in the UK - Barking Abbey. We go through his unique journey from player to coach and talk about many of his experiences along the way. Coach James gives a great 20 minute presentation on Spread Motion offense and how he has adapted and evolved these concepts with Barking Abbey.
