With Mike still out of the country, Will invited Josh Oliver on the podcast to share his story. Josh grew up in Ford City, raised by a single dad after his parents' divorced early on. He shares how he made a childhood profession of faith at a VBS Harvest, spent his teen years chasing hockey and parties instead of God, drifted through a rough freshman year college, and found his way back to Christ through the faithfulness of God and other fellow believers in the church. Along the way he met and married his wife Taylor, welcomed their first child into the world, and now he's stepping into a new role leading the Crave youth ministry this fall.

Fred Neal grew up three feet from Kittanning High School, sleeping to bass-thumping cars and sitting in the back row where "God can't find me back here." Hear how a friend's drug-fueled seizure sent him crying out to God with a kids' Bible in hand — and how that one Sunday led to 16 years on staff at Harvest, alongside his own father. A candid, often funny conversation about trading an engineer's plan for the pulpit and finally stepping out to plant Redemption Church.

Mike and Mandy dig into some of the worst preaching trends online right now — from Willow Creek's legacy to a lesbian bishop, a "God is a black woman" panel, and a Lutheran sermon that accuses Jesus of losing his temper. Then a turn toward hope: Conor McGregor's faith, an AI-made short film reviving old-school femininity, and a British history lesson on who actually ended slavery. Finally, a French tourist explains why America's real secret weapon is air conditioning — and a song about the state of the country moves Mandy to tears.

In this week's episode, Mike and Will dig into Romans 6, tackling the question every Christian eventually faces: if grace covers all sin, why not just keep sinning? Along the way, they break down what it means to be "baptized into His death," push back on antinomianism, and get into a real debate over Catholic and Eastern Orthodox views on purgatory, the papacy, and church tradition vs. Scripture. They close out with a listener question on how to witness to people in your own church who claim to believe in Christ but show no fruit.

Matt Cooper grew up outside Fox Chapel in an angry, "name it and claim it" household. He shares how a he got saved at 14 in a cabin, spent his teen years chasing girls instead of God, found his way back through a stranger's testimony in college, met and married his wife Laura, and bounced through five churches in five years before landing — almost against his will — at Harvest.

Thilak Pappu spent his early years in Kerala, India chanting Hindu devotional songs, climbing sacred mountains barefoot, and bargaining for idols at the market. Mike and Will tackle an anonymous question about what it actually means to be biblically married — and whether the government has anything to do with it. Then Romans 5, where one man's bite of fruit killed the whole human race and one man's obedience saves it. And finally, a sprawling conversation about AI, college graduation rates, and why the most historically unprecedented thing happening right now might be how many people aren't getting married.

Then it's Romans 5, where Paul somehow makes suffering sound like good news. And finally, a crowdfunded documentary about Noah's ark, dinosaur bones with soft tissue, and why AI might be the best evangelism tool nobody's talking about yet.
