Robert and Rich are out to solve the extinction of the Great American Video Store, share each other's firsts, and disagree as cordial gentlemen would.
This week's pitch includes Robert's pick for next week, a couple of standup performances, and some light reading in the form of a Q&A.
In this episode, Robert and Rich talk a little more Twin Peaks, introduce themselves to Master of None, and give props to the arc of Marc Maron's career. They're then submerged in talk about SeaQuest, talking Dolphins, and ask the big questions about stuff like art.
This week it's Rich with the pitch and Rich with the PICK. Check out what we're watching this week and what else we're into on the pitch.
Despite the lack of frights in Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Robert and Rich wax nostalgic on spooky specials for halloween. Robert also flips the script on Rich with a bevy of shows he's watched and is raring to talk about. A drop in is also made by a now reoccurring guest.
Rich reads and responds to YOUR feedback, comments, and shout outs from last week's episode with AXE COP and spins the roulette wheel in the most classic way to receive a show most MURDEROUS for next week.
There's a lot to get to in this episode as Fall TV continues to ramp up and some Summer shows wrapped up. Robert and Rich talk about the Rick and Morty and Review finales, the debut of The Grinder, other shows they're looking forward to, and even manage to mention Gotham (or the lack thereof). There's even a brief, but deep, dissection of the career of Danny McBride. All of that brings the show to the main event, the first ever Picked Up listener pick, Axe Cop, and the conversation about it's origin, style, cast, and fit.
It's your Rich with the Pitch this and every other week! Aside from a little Rick and Morty and Review aside, it's pretty much all business this week as Rich gets straight to the point and announces the first ever Listener Pick in Picked Up history!
This week, Robert and Rich watch a real cooky show with a real cool dude. More Fall shows are rolling out and the guys get caught up on those before moving on to the show that was the spiritual precursor to The X-Files. The #HalloweenCreek2k15 is in full swing as they also talk about first exposures to the horror genre and the upcoming pilot to the newest ghost adventure show, Ghost Trakkers! (Learn more at GhostTrakkers.net)
Welcome to the first Elevator Pitch episode, proper. Rich goes through the whole rigamarole that was recapping the Emmys as quickly as possible before revealing the pick for next week's episode!
