Kicking off Season 6 talking phenomenal women! Business & Professional Women of Greater Moncton President Ashley Robichaud joins Jenna & Tosh to talk about the non-profit and its coming fundraising event, the 12th annual Phenomenal Woman Award luncheon.

Since 2013, the organization has awarded more than $46,000 in bursaries and grants to women in the local community. That money is mostly raised at the Phenomenal Woman Award event, which recognizes “an inspiring woman who is considered a mentor, a connector and has contributed to the well-being of other women in the Greater Moncton area. This phenomenal woman is someone who is acknowledged in her field for her commitment to excellence, has shown leadership in her actions and achievements and facilitates change in our region. She demonstrates respect for and engagement with her community, clients and colleagues.” Tune in to hear more about the event, the organization, and the amazing women being honoured: Frances LeBlanc, Kerri Gaskin-Fowler, & Stacey Couturier.

Summer is here & it’s time to relax! Coverdale Counselling’s Keri Gaskin and Graystone Counselling’s Cara Beth Elliott are co-hosting their first Women’s Mental Spa Day on July 8. The day includes mindfulness practice with horses, somatic processing and body mapping, a guided walk with Heather Fraser of Explore Nature’s Bounty, and expressive arts time. Keri joins us to talk about the importance of making time – and how difficult a task it can be.

Compassion. That’s the word that best encompasses the feeling that emanates from Marc Belliveau and his team at Harvest House Atlantic. For more than 25 years, Harvest House has been a haven for those struggling to find housing, to stay sober, and to access critical mental health services.

In 2022, that meant serving 156,000 meals. Moving 103 people into transitional housing, affordable house, and free-market rentals. Helping 85 people find shelter with friends and family, many returning to home communities outside the GMA. Standing alongside 17 people starting an addiction recovery program. And so much more.
