Objects are known to the aesthetic philosophy of art, however, what happens when one creates an object of art but the ownership of creation is compromised due to the process of creation? Join me as I do my best to explore this difficult ideas in todays podcast.

For about a year I’ve been interested in how Philosophy fits in with Photography. I wondered what prominent thinkers thought of photography - and was sad to discover that the beautifully interesting and complex behaviour was so limited in philosophical coverage. There are books, but very few, and even few recourses that are immediately recent.

Todays episode focuses on street photographers, public spaces, people and the law in Australia. I'm by no means a lawyer and what is discussed in this blog is purely my understanding of our law. Please read through the resources carefully so that you fully understand your rights for yourself.

Todays Episode is about the rules and guidelines of street photography. Street photography is an exploding subgenus of photography with a deep-rooted history, a plethora of "masters" and with it the associated traditions. For many, the guidelines that make up street photography are viewed more as must follow the rules. New, and emerging talents are already breaking those moulds and setting their standards alongside the ever-expanding access to advancing technology. The traditionalist values are under challenge while only existing for such a short time (relatively speaking), but the unique issue presented is the expansion of technology.
