Piecing It Together Podcast

On the 91st episode of Piecing It Together, Rico Albarracin from Always The Critic Podcast joins me to talk about the James Gray / Brad Pitt space epic Ad Astra. It just hit me that we made it through an entire 40 minute episode about this movie without saying the phrase "daddy issues." Puzzle pieces include Event Horizon, Goodfellas, Ex Machina and Interstellar.

As always, SPOILER ALERT for Ad Astra and the movies we discuss!

This past Sunday, September 15th, Piecing It Together held its first live recording of the podcast during the 3rd annual Sin City Horror Fest. Film-critic Josh Bell of Awesome Movie Year Podcast and filmmaker/festival co-creator Drew Marvick joined me to discuss the shot-on-VHS horror-comedy, The Head. The film's writer/director Michael Keene also joined us to talk about the film's influences. Make sure to listen to the episode on your favorite podcast app, or right here on this website at https://www.piecingpod.com/2019/09/16/the-head-live-from-sin-city-horror-fest/

Doing a live show for Piecing It Together has definitely been something I've wanted to do since I started the show a year and a half ago. I always knew doing it at a film festival after a film's screening, would be a great fit, and I'm really happy that the Sin City Horror Fest team was down to have the show be a part of their line-up. Having Michael Keene join the conversation made it even better.

I hope to do a lot more live shows with the podcast in the future as we continue to grow. In the meantime, we have lots of new studio-recorded episodes coming your way, a lot of extra content I'm getting ready to start releasing on our Patreon page, and then... Soon enough... We'll get another live show going.

And of course, a BIG thank you to Gina Mizzoni Photography for the awesome photos!

On the 87th episode of Piecing It Together, Tim Schermer joins us to talk about It Chapter Two, the sequel to one of the most successful horror movies of all time. It's based on the classic Stephen King novel and focuses on the grown up Loser's Club taking on Pennywise the clown once and for all... Puzzle pieces include Nightmare On Elm Street, Beetlejuice, The Thing and Sam Raimi films.

As always, SPOILER ALERT for It Chapter Two and the movies we discuss!
