The Disability Federation of Ireland is the lead organisation of the unique collaboration that is Make Way Day, which happens this year on Friday 26 September 2025. People are asked to take pictures of obstacles they encounter i.e. parked cars or vans on footpaths, bikes chained to railings, sandwich boards or overhanging branches, and then post the pictures to social media with #MakeWayDay25 and tag @makewayday or @disabilityfed in your post. Adrianne is joined here by Pierce Richardson, the Diversity and Education Officer with the Disability Federation of Ireland to discuss this year’s campaign. You can follow your local campaign by using the hashtags # and handle @ of your area e.g. #MakeWayRoscommon, and for more information go to www.makewayday.com or www.disability-federation.ie
