Peppino D'Agostino did a special, intimage show up at Wind River Studios in Santa Cruz last month, and beforehand he did a special "Neighhborhood Night" chat with host Jamie Coffis about his approach to music and the guitar. Texas greats James McMurtry and Betty Soo dropped into the sty on their annual run out west and through Santa Cruz. LOTS of music in this one including "Sons of the Second Sons" (from James' last record, "Horses and the Hounds," "Color of Night" from his new one, "Black Dog and the Wandering Boy," "Gulf Road" from Betty's record "If You Never Go Away," and a sweet cover of Woody Guthrie's "Deportee."
