The team woke up to a lockdown that forced an improvised escape involving singing and the space llama the guardians once planned to get rid of. Their journey led them to Lamentis, where they discovered Drax fully consumed by the promise, turning a rescue mission into something far more dangerous.
I woke up to find the quarters locked down tight. Over the comms, I could hear Rocket genuinely wondering if Peter was even still alive. I quickly patched myself in, and Peter filled the team in on the situation, specifically the heavy news that Drax had fully accepted the promise.
Since we were trapped, Peter had to get creative. He remembered the space llama has a thing for his voice, so he started whistling to get its attention. He hatched a ridiculous plan where the Guardians had to sing to lure the llama toward a specific wire box.
Since the llama chews on just about anything, Peter figured it would chew through the lockdown wires and free them. The singing was absolutely hilarious, though I liked the music.
It took a few tries to get the harmony right, but eventually, I managed to lure the llama to the correct box. It worked like a charm; the creature chewed the cables, the doors hissed open, and all the Guardians finally came out of their quarters.
Once free, Peter insisted they had to go after Drax and save him from the Matriarch's influence. Rocket, however, wasn't having it. He was bitter and hurt, arguing that Drax wasn't their friend anymore now that he'd been converted.
Rocket turned to walk away, swearing he wouldn't help Drax. Peter didn't let him off that easy; he drew his guns, more as a bluff to shock Rocket than anything else. It worked, as Rocket got incredibly angry, and for a second, I thought I was about to witness a full-blown duel between the two of them.
Surprisingly, the tension broke almost immediately. Rocket suddenly grumbled an agreement to help, which caught Peter off guard. You can see the smile on Peter's face. He definitely didn't think convincing Rocket would be that easy.
We opened the back door and set foot on the strange planet. Gamora identified it as Lamentis, the home of the Priests of Pama.
Gamora revealed she knew about this place because she had hidden here once after a job went sideways.
She was suspicious, though, cause if Drax believed this was a planet belonging to the Matriarch, then his mind was even more warped than they feared. I kept close to her as she led the way toward the local village.
We pushed through the brush and finally spotted Drax, but he wasn't himself. He was relentlessly attacking a Priest of Pama, completely consumed by whatever vision the promise had planted in his head. The rescue mission just got a lot more complicated.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.
