Join us Sunday as we dig into Kingdoms and Covenants.
What is the Kingdom of God? We’ll cover a bit of Biblical history and what happens when the Spirit forms community. It’s no surprise that the powers of the world seek to deny or co-opt any community formed which does not align with their politics and wishes. Belonging is life-giving and revolutionary when the centre of the community is not class, ethnicity, money, or even religion but a person, Jesus.
10 AM
When we believe in Jesus we become part of a community with all those who place their faith in him. But what does it mean to be part of a community, and what kind of community are we called to be?
We experience Jesus personally through the Holy Spirit. Jesus himself ascended into another realm after his earthly ministry and became truly human. He cannot physically be in both places. However, by the Spirit he can be present spiritually everywhere.
In a well-worn CS Lewis quote he said, "Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important." Sunday, July 7th, at 10am we wrap up the "Believe Jesus" portion of our Summer Series exploring more about Jesus: Who, What, Why and How we can respond to Jesus (hint you already are!)
Join us to hear author and theologian Brad Jersak. Brad will be sharing in part from his work, "A More Christlike God", and upcoming work, "A More Christlike Way." You can listen and learn more at https://bradjersak.com/. It's great Sunday to join up with Pilgrim on the journey!
We're continuing our Summer Series: Building Blocks going further into Believing Jesus!
Christianity is built around Jesus, a divine-human person. Jesus is the centre of our faith! In Jesus, we have a personal relationship with the creator and teaching that guides our daily life.
Join us this Sunday at 10 AM, as we turn from the "abstract" god-out-there to God who is close to us.

Our Summer Series starts THIS SUNDAY at Pilgrim Church.
Adjusting our expectations is an important and emotionally intelligent skill to have. We can warn others of the need to lower their expectations, or we sense a need to manage our own. But as a follower of Jesus, our expectations need to create space for God's surprises. Our expectations direct our attempting... the actions that move us into God's future. If we have no expectations of change, we will not attempt much. Expecting comes before attempting.
Join us to hear from Andrés Pérez González, our worship leader and Regent student
