Today’s devotion is an intro into the series, “Invitation into the Sabbath Rest.” Today’s reflections showed that God’s invitation into the Sabbath is actually an invitation into a sacred place - a place that God offers a rest that we cannot find anywhere else. All our human efforts will always be too feeble to bring us into the greatest desire of our hearts, and that is, a place of complete rest. In this series, we will be looking at how we can respond to God’s invitation to rest, for the Bible says, “there still remains a place of rest for God’s people.” Let us, therefore, “labor” to enter that rest.

One of our greatest needs is for true fatherhood, and unfortunately, no human father can meet our deepest hearts’ desires. That’s why we have our “heavenly Father.” Today’s devotion invites us to rediscover this divine Abba Fatherhood and to experience Him. I pray today’s devotion will encourage your heart and bring you into the Father’s love that is beyond human comprehension. Amen.

God is always working, through good times and bad times. Sometimes, God withholds blessings so that we seek Him more intentionally and intently. That was the focus of today’s devotion. Please listen, pray and share.

What does it look like to genuinely burn for God? This message takes an honest look at zeal, the kind that moves a person to act when everyone else is standing still. From Phinehas in Numbers 25 to the Gospel today, the question it leaves you with is a real one: you can be zealous for yourself, zealous for your family, but what is your zeal for the Lord?

There's a difference between knowing about God and knowing Him as the Lord. Drawing from Exodus 6, this message looks at what God meant when He said "I am the Lord", not just as a name, but as a promise of what He was about to do. If you've been waiting, groaning, or wondering if God will come through, this one speaks directly to that place.

This is one of the most important messages God has given me in this season. It’s a call to see things from God’s perspective - an admission that we often don’t understand how God is working. Joseph could not understand for many years why so many terrible things happened to him. But eventually, by Genesis 45, he understood. May God grant us faith to believe that He is working even through the seasons of darkness, pain, betrayal, confusion, imprisonment, stagnation, and loneliness. He is working. He is with us. He is preparing us for the time of His manifestation in us. Let’s be patient. Listen to the message for more on this.

I am not passing away yet…I believe I still have some days yet ahead of me. But if I were to give some final counsel to those closest to me, this message contains some of the top things I would share. Blessings.

Today’s devotion was a simple but difficult devotion. It’s one thing to say we want to glorify Jesus, and it’s another thing to be willing to go through the process of making that happen. Jesus went through the valley of the shadow of death to enter into His glory. There is no other pathway for us to see Jesus in His glory, or manifest the glorified Jesus, except if we, too, are willing to embrace death. It is only in dying that we can see and glorify Jesus.
