So close to home
I stumbled across this book whilst doing research for a book I plan to write. The author Jacqueline Walker is two weeks younger than me. The most amazing thing about this book is that Jacqueline stayed at Stonefield Reception Centre, Blackheath, London and we may well have been there at the same time! Her brother Teddy also stayed at the Pagoda Gardens home for boys which is where I stayed as well! The book is abosrbing and very well written and worthy of recommendation to others. I probably got more from the book because of the authors childhood experiences which mirrored mine in and around Greenwich and Blackheath,London.
