You might ask, “Where does the church fit into my life?” The better question is to ask, “How do I fit into the church?” In this class we will explore and apply Castleview’s mission and vision: “We are a family of God’s adopted children, committed to Jesus and to one another. We aim to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ by his word and through his church to the ends of the earth.” You will be reminded of how and why we live life together as God’s family, especially taking time to consider the specific ways we apply God’s word to how we do membership, missions, and member care. You will understand God’s vision for our life together as a local church and the significant role you have in it.

This class will equip Christians to grieve faithfully amid sin and suffering. We will also explore how faithful lament is Christlike and distinct from bitter complaint. And we will consider how the gift of lament helps us to weep with those who weep even when we ourselves are not sorrowful.    Taught by Kelly Wright and Mike Evans
