  • Blessed Are Those Who Mourn – Matthew 5:4
Series: Counter-Culture Kingdom – How Jesus’ Gospel Changes Everything — Preacher: Jon Ransom —
In Matthew’s gospel we come to learn that Jesus is the only promised and perfect king. We read of his perfectly just kingdom, and we learn of his primary values of his counter-culture kingdom. At the outset of the sermon on the mount, the beatitudes introduce us to the primary values of Jesus’ counter-culture kingdom. They are, in a way, Jesus’ inaugural address as king. In this series, we will learn how to gain entrance into Jesus’ forever kingdom, and we will learn how to live as a citizen of his perfectly just kingdom, all while living within the borders of broken kingdoms with unjust systems, and under the leadership of imperfect and unjust kings here on earth.

  • See your Choice: Spirit vs. Flesh
Series: Galatians: The Gospel of Freedom — Preacher: Zach Daugherty —
The word gospel means good news. The gospel is the best news in all of history. It is good news for us every single day. However, when any element is added or subtracted from the good news of the gospel, it ceases to be good news. When we add to or take away from the gospel, not only does it cease to be good news, it straight up becomes bad news! In Galatians, Paul makes a vigorous and passionate plea for these young Christians to not add anything to the gospel, as it had been received. In this series we’ll talk about getting the gospel right. We’ll talk about how we tend to add to or take away from the gospel, just like the Galatians did. And, we’ll rehearse over and over again, how the gospel of Jesus is good news for us today.

  • Be Still and Be Rejoicing
Series: Be Still — Preacher: Jon Ransom —
As we continue in this uncertain season in which our Sunday morning public worship gatherings have been suspended due to concerns around the Coronavirus, we remember our Father’s words to his family. Simply, be still. Trust. Anchor our confidence in Christ, not our circumstances. Over the next several weeks we will focus in on what it means to be still by exploring this theme throughout the Psalms.
