Pillar Church Podcast

As Jesus continues His prayer in John 17, His focus expands beyond His immediate disciples to every believer who would come to faith through their message. Knowing the suffering and death He is about to face, Jesus prays for His people, revealing His deep love, care, and commitment to those who belong to Him.

In this message, Pastor Kaynenn explores Jesus’ prayer for the unity of His church. This unity is not based on shared preferences, backgrounds, politics, or culture, but on a shared relationship with Christ. As believers draw closer to Jesus, they are drawn closer to one another, creating a unity that becomes a powerful witness to the world.

The prayer of Jesus in John 17 gives us a picture of the kind of church He desires: united in Him, sustained by His presence, grounded in His glory, and living as a witness to the world.

As Jesus continues His prayer for His disciples in John 17, He asks the Father to sanctify them in the truth. In this message, Pastor Kaynenn explores what sanctification really means and why it is about far more than simply becoming a better person.

To be sanctified is to be set apart for a sacred purpose. Jesus Himself set Himself apart as the perfect sacrifice so that His followers could be set apart and sent into the world as His ambassadors. Our transformation begins not simply with knowing more about Scripture, but with encountering Jesus, the living Word, through the truth God has revealed.

The Christian life is not ultimately about worldly success, personal achievement, or simply becoming a better version of ourselves. We have been set apart for something greater: to know Jesus, reflect His glory, and faithfully proclaim the good news of what He has done.

In this message, Johnson Joseph shares a powerful vision for what the church is meant to be. Looking to Acts 2:42–47, he reminds us that the early church wasn't built on entertainment or cultural trends, but on unwavering devotion to God's Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, authentic community, and a bold witness to the gospel. This message explores the characteristics of a healthy, Christ-centered church and challenges believers to examine whether their lives reflect the priorities of the first followers of Jesus.

As Pillar Church celebrates seven years of God's faithfulness, guest speaker Jim Essian reflects on the church's journey while looking ahead to what God has in store. Drawing from Jesus' message to the church in Philadelphia in Revelation 3, this encouraging message reminds us that God often does His greatest work through people who recognize their dependence on Him.

Jesus declares that He alone holds the key that opens doors no one can shut. Though the church in Philadelphia was small and seemingly weak, they remained faithful to God's Word and steadfast in proclaiming His name. Their dependence on Christ became the very foundation of their strength.

Whether you're part of Pillar Church or simply looking for encouragement to trust God with what's next, this message is a powerful reminder that our greatest opportunities begin with complete dependence on Christ.

As Jesus prepares for the cross, He prays one of the most personal and powerful prayers recorded in Scripture. In John 17, we see Christ's heart for His disciples as He asks the Father to protect them, preserve their faith, and keep them united after His departure.

In this message, we walk through Jesus's prayer and what it means for believers today. We also explore the contrast between Peter and Judas, the danger of false gospels, and the assurance that those who belong to Christ are securely held in His hands.
