Deer season ended last month and there is not better time to be in the woods. Listen in as we discuss some post season stuff we have going on from staying sharp with your archery equipment and exercising to scouting areas in the woods you've been wanting to put boots on since before season. We've also noticed some bucks still holding on to their headgear while others have dropped in late December and spoke on the topic a little bit. Hope you enjoy the show and that you're out there burning up the post season deer woods!

Its been a few since we dropped an episode so we hope we made it up to you with this one. Listen in as we talk about a myriad of things as Will would say. Topics discussed include - opening day of Virginia Deer Season, Cody's canoeing service, public land scouting, Will and Cody's brush busting trip looking for deer sign, no dove mountain, Will's ghost buck "Casper", Fred Bear 10 Commandments (Mr. Bear was well ahead of his time), Will's rain gear keeps him "dry as a chip" during "frog strangling rain", Does Camo matter?, and a few others. We also let y'all know what the plan is for podcasting and putting out some videos during hunting season. Good luck to you hunters hitting the woods this weekend. It's finally here!
We sit down this week in what can only be described as a information overload on gear and expenses for an eastern hunter to take a trip out west. There are many ways to break this down but we just hit the high notes as far as pack system, sleep system, food and cooking, travel, clothing and gear as well as other miscellaneous items that may be overlooked. The biggest part of this episode that we wanted to make sure we covered is the fact that anyone who is a whitetail hunter can take their same gear and use it on a Western Big Game Hunt. You don't have to sink 5,000-10,000 dollars in a hunt to make it happen. Hey we get it, its intimidating to think about but in all reality its just like planning an out of town deer hunt across the state or a week long trip to your deer camp, only a tad further to drive. Hope you enjoy and take something from this one.
This week we talk about pre season counting, public land vs. private land scouting, going where people are not, spit bottles vs. pee bottles, tree stand placement, hunting bedding areas, switching from wrist strap to thumb button release aids, "hang and bang" setups, Wills version of deer biology and much more. Y'all check it out!
