Although the Bible does not mention the Trinity in name, we can see from scripture that the triune Godhead is who God is. The Bible speaks of God as a single entity. The Father is called God. Jesus calls Himself God, and the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit is called God.

Together, Joseph and Mary were chosen because they were the best earthly parents for the Messiah. God knew their souls intimately. Their humility must have made them wonder why the God who created the Universe with His voice would choose to entrust them with raising His only begotten Son.

The story of Ruth is a beautiful example of a woman’s dedication to the people she loves and her love for the God of those people, but for this episode, as we look at the book of Ruth, I want to focus on Boaz. Even though the book is not named after him, he is in no way a secondary character.

By itself, it is a great story, but… when we add the element of God’s divine hand and all the details that He sprinkles on us, we are left with an amazing tale about Rehabs identity in a different light.
