Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!

This week is a grim week indeed. Sony shocked the gaming world with a huge announcement last week that all physical discs would come to an end of production for PlayStation consoles as of January 2028, meaning their future consoles will be digital only, controlled by Sony alone. Xbox started this week off delivering on its much dreaded "reset", confirming many of the troubling recent rumours to be true, and launching one of its biggest ever job cuts. It is a bad time in the industry right now if you are a consumer, developer or anything in-between (other than a corporate executive I guess). Tune in to hear me give my opinions on these difficult subjects.
