Welcome to The Pink Pill, a podcast from Noor, hosted by Mahnoor Mahar.
In this first episode, Mahnoor introduces the podcast, how it came about, and some of the questions behind it.
She talks about being a filmmaker and researcher from Pakistan, now based in the UK, and how her work across film, feminist organising, research and international development has shaped the way she thinks about power, politics and culture.
She also introduces Noor as a global feminist “think and do” tank working with organisers, researchers and movements confronting far-right narratives, infrastructures and political projects across different contexts.
Across the series, The Pink Pill will feature conversations on fascism, fundamentalism, migration, technology, disinformation, anti-rights and anti-gender politics, climate and eco-fascism, and the world we are all trying to make sense of right now.
This episode sets up the podcast and the conversations to come.
Sound edited and produced by Zahra Paracha.

Across the series, Mahnoor speaks to researchers, writers, organisers and thinkers trying to make sense of the world we…
Rooted in Noor’s work as a global feminist think-and-do tank, Pink Pill asks what the far right is building, how it organises across different contexts, and what it might take to imagine and build something beyond the world as it currently is.
