Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. issued a letter to MLB, Nike and the Yankees’ front office last week after he learned of a stipulation in the new Nike/MLB apparel deal that could severely impact small businesses on River Ave. BP Diaz Jr. calls in to the podcast this week to explain his letter, respond to the Yankees’ letter and reveal his hopes for both the outcome and the team’s relationship with the borough.

This morning, I still wasn’t over it. YES Network does a great job now of re-running the postgame in the morning in case you miss anything. Well, this is a rather interesting episode. I spent the weekend (and the better part of Tuesday night/Wednesday) hosting social media content for Mohegan Sun, the awesome resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. On Saturday, Mohegan Sun opened “novelle,” a new supper club/hip spot to eat and drink. I hosted the live red carpet broadcast on the resort’s Facebook page. The big guest of honor was Khloe Kardashian. However, a number of other celebrities were in attendance as well, including former Yankee stars Johnny Damon and Roger Clemens.You’ll hear from both “Johnny Rocket” and “Rocket” plus the super-talented singer Ciara. I know, you’re scratching your head as to why she would be included. Here’s a hint: she may have been at a Yankee win the night before. Here’s another: you may know her husband as both a Super Bowl-winning Quarterback and a Yankee minor league player. Yankees Universe was a bit up-in-arms over recent light-hearted comments from TV host, comedian and Mets fan John Oliver during a recent Mets game on PIX11. It’s been a fun week! I took a last-second trip to Baltimore on Monday to see the Yankees’ comeback win against the Orioles. Now, as we publish our new episode, we can celebrate a sweep heading in to the holiday weekend.
