Biography:

I am a completely ordinary person from Hungary. Perhaps, like everyone else, my love for music started in my childhood. I was interested in mixing and how music is made. At that time, I still collected tapes, later CDs, and continued to collect different styles of music in digital form. I started making mixes between the four walls about 6 years ago. That's when I started discovering deep house and dub techno styles. So I started producing mixes in these styles, which I later published on my youtube and mixcloud and soundcloud channels. I sometimes accept podcast and radio requests, but I stick to making music between the four walls. I started to learn about writing music a few years ago. It's probably more of a curiosity to see how it works and getting to know the technical side of it.

The label [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] is proud to present its 48th release — the first part of the captivating mini-album First Light, Vol. 1, crafted by three talented musicians from different corners of Europe: Seabra Monkey (@seabra_monkey) from Amsterdam, The Venusian (@the_venusian) from Logroño, and Francesco Tamburrano (@ft-dubtechno) from Venice. This unique collaborative creation merges their creative forces and offers listeners a journey through morning and evening soundscapes, seen through the prism of dub techno and techno.

First Light, Vol. 1 consists of three original tracks, each showcasing the individual style and musical language of each artist, along with two remixes created by the musicians themselves, and a special remix by ODP (the alter ego of Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer), which adds a new layer of depth and unique atmosphere to the album.

Seabra Monkey opens the album with Morning Dew, which awakens the listener like the first rays of morning sunlight piercing through the fog. The sounds evoke a feeling of freshness and the birth of a new day, transporting us to a world of morning dew and melodic yet powerful rhythms.

Francesco Tamburrano presents Poison, a track with deep basslines and dark synths, taking us to the darker side of electronic music. Like poison, the track spreads slowly, enveloping the listener in its hypnotic atmosphere.

The Venusian completes the original works with Code of the Dancefloor, a powerful rhythmic anthem for those seeking the access code to the secret knowledge of the dancefloor. The track’s simple yet intriguing sound textures and dynamic beats create a mesmerizing experience for anyone stepping onto this sonic escalator.

The remixes bring a new dimension to this auditory world:

The Venusian reimagines Poison by Francesco Tamburrano, offering a unique take on its dark energy, intensifying the sense of suspense and intrigue.

ODP (@enercube and @x_fr) brings magic to the remix of Code of the Dancefloor with Shadow Code Dub, transforming the original into a world of shadows and acid vibrations, adding a special charm and mystery.

Francesco Tamburrano closes the release with his remix of Evening Dew by Seabra Monkey, where evening tones of sound smoothly guide us into a meditative state, completing the sonic cycle of the day.

First Light, Vol. 1 marks the beginning of an exciting musical journey, where different styles and visionary approaches to electronic music creation intertwine. This release is a shining example of how musical collaboration can push the boundaries of the genre and open up new horizons.

Biography:

The sound of Xyiz is originally influenced by the dry, brute and urban sound of the early days of dub techno in germany. Robert aka Xyiz grew up in a small town in the middle of Germany. After initially playing guitar in a young punk rock band, he started discovering electronic music production at 16 and quickly began to develop a passion for experimental sound design and groovy rhythms. At the age of 17 he also started djing on vinyl, at that time still in the genre of DrumʼnʼBass. In 2016 he finally found a genre which is very open to atmospheric and interesting but still danceable rhythms and sound design, that’s when he started producing dub techno and related styles. He startet releasing EPs on the Label Kräuterbutter Kollektiv from Dresden (DE) followed by single Tracks on Pragmat Records and Slope Point where he lately released his first EP for the Label. After a long break from playing vinyl, he lately started collecting in the rhythmic and raw styles of Dub- and Deep Techno.
