There was a time when talismans were never bought—they were assembled. Every symbol, every stone, every feather, every fragment of wood carried its own unique power, yet they truly came alive only when united into a single whole. This ancient principle lies at the heart of Mascot, the new album by electronic music producer Sleney from Krasnodar, Russia.

The nine compositions do not exist as separate pieces. Each one forms part of a single artifact—one that cannot be seen with the eyes, only heard:

:::Intro opens the space like the first gesture of a craftsman beginning to create a future talisman.

Biography:

Verkyone is a DJ and music curator specializing in progressive house, ambient, techno, and organic electronica. His musical journey began in Eastern Poland, where he took his first steps as a selector, organizing local events and experimenting with hard-trance and tech-trance sounds. After a hiatus of several years, he returned to performing as Verkyone — an artist defined by his conscious, precise, and consistent approach. His sets are distinguished by fluid storytelling, meticulous attention to detail, and a cohesive selection that emphasizes emotion and atmosphere. He actively collaborates with the *We Are One Podcast*, showcasing a more sophisticated, technical selection, and has released the *Surface Glider* EP. In June 2025, guest mix as "Artist of the Week" on Frisky Radio, where he presented a two-hour set. He is also a resident at Craft Radio Lounge, hosting the recurring show *Wavescape*, where he presents fresh releases, personal selections, and a unique perspective on progressive electronic music. Clear Water EP by Juan Moreno (@juanmorenomusica), an electronic music artist from Guadalajara, Mexico, sounds exactly like that kind of memory: transparent, but not empty; soft, yet capable of reshaping space.
