  • Ep. 22 “A World In Song” overcoming tragedy and trauma through music. An interview with Nola Ranallo
Ep. 22 “A World In Song” overcoming tragedy and trauma through music. An interview with Nola Ranallo of Cages. On July 31st 2020 Cages will be releasing the album ‘A World In Song’ thru Iron Lung Records. This album is the story of singer Nola Ranallo’s personal journey over the past two years overcoming abuse, death, tragedy, trauma, and mental health struggles. Nola’s hope is that this album helps others find beauty in the world to overcome the many struggles we face in life. In this very candid interview Nola talks in detail about her own story and what it took to get where she is now in life as well as the beautiful process of recording this record live in Buffalo at a mental health/domestic abuse awareness concert put on by her loved ones. ⚠️ Be warned this episode speaks of suicide, abuse, trauma, and in general some potentially very triggering and heavy topics. • Ep. 21 “The Longest Day” with Mona from Mon Amie Records to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association
Ep. 21 “The Longest Day” with Mona from Mon Amie Records to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. In Episode 21 Josh talks with Mona from Mon Amie Records regarding the compilation LP coming out to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association which is something very near to both of us. In 2017 my family lost my grandfather Harold to this horrific disease of the mind. Mona was kind and brave enough to be vulnerable to share her families own story which led to the creation of this album “The Longest Day - A Benefit for the Alzheimer's Association” where 100% of the proceeds go to the association. The album features music from Beach Slang, Moby, New Order and many more. We are beyond honored to bring this powerful discussion to our audience. ⚠️ Trigger warning this episode is very personal around this topic however we take a very positive approach to the discussion. Just want everyone to be aware. ⚠️ 🏴‍☠️📻‬
