In this episode Schep is joined by Dead Reckoning Collective co creator/writer/firefighter/army veteran. Tyler Carroll to discuss a myriad of topics, ranging from relationships between the veteran community and civilians to discussing poetry and the stigma surrounding it in “manly men,” communities. This episode focuses a lot on writing and the direction that Tyler and Schep think it's headed and where it is today.

The guys start the conversation off by talking about their influences, or in Tylers case the lack thereof, when he was growing up in Texas. It wasn't until he found people like Leo Jenkins that he started to get influences in his own writing.

@ 14:00 Tyler starts to talk about how most people have this notion that manly men don't write poetry and he explains how that can't be further from the truth. Especially since he is a co writer in a collection of poetry called “Fact and Memory.”

@ Tyler talks a little about Leo and Jenkins and David Rose, both writers affiliated with Dead Reckoning Collective. Tyler also talks about his favorite writer, Kurt Vonnegut, who appealed to Tyler because he was more into math and science as a kid.

And now for the News in international football

Major League Soccer has announced that six FC Dallas players already inside the bubble in Orlando Florida have tested positive for COVID-19. Two of the players tested positive during their arrival round of testing and four more tested positive in the following two days.

"Upon receipt of the positive COVID-19 test, all six players immediately participated in a clinical assessment by a healthcare provider and were moved to the isolation area of the hotel," MLS said in a statement.

"While in isolation, the individuals are in daily communication with and receive remote care from a healthcare provider, including monitoring of symptoms and regular follow-up testing."

MLS conducted 392 tests on players from teams already in Florida including the San Jose Earthquakes, Orlando City SC, Minnesota United, FC Dallas, the Columbus Crew and FC Cincinnati

Arsnel’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang eclipsed former Guner Thierry Henery scoring his 50th Premier League goal in just his 79th match. The goal bring Aubameyang even with Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy for the 2019/20 golden boot which is awarded to the league’s top goalscorer.

Here is whats happening in baseball

Major League Baseball commissioner Rodger Manfred told Dan Patrick that MLB never intended to play more than 60 games.

"The reality is, we weren't going to play more than 60 games no matter how the negotiations with the players went or any other factor. Sixty games is the outside of the envelope given the realities of the [coronavirus]. I think this is the one thing we come back to every single day—we're trying to manage something that has proven to be unpredictable and unmanageable." He added “"If we can pull off this 60-game season, it was the best we were going to do for our fans given the course of the [coronavirus]."

The Major League Baseball Players Association has yet to comment.

The San Fransisco Giants have singed their 2020 first-round draft pick, catcher Patrick Bailey, to a 3.8 million dollar contract, according to John Sea of the San Fransisco Chronicle. The switch hitting catcher from North Carolina State was selected 13th overall last month and signed for less than slot value. In two seasons with the Wolf Pack Baily hit for a .302 average with 29 homeruns and a on base plus sluggin percentage of .979.

The St Louis Cardnials are rumored to be replacing the New York Yankees in the Field of Dreams game according to multiple news reports. The Des Moines Register says sources inside MLB have confirmed that the Red Birds will take on the White Sox on the field-erected in the middle of a corn field.

The 2020 Minor league baseball season  has been canceled according to Baseball America’s J.J. Cooper and Josh Norris.

Though not entirely unexpected when coupled with MLB’s plans for reducing the number of minor league affiliates this announcement makes for a cloudy future for the lower tiers of the sport in America.

MLB has preapproved seven bidding groups, including a group headed by Alex Rodriguez and Jeniffer Lopez.

The Giants placed right-hander Tyler Beede on the 45-day injured list and outrighted fellow righty Enderson Franco to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, per Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The Baltimore Orioles singed former University of Arkansas stand out Heston Kjerstad. In three seasons with the Razorbacks Kjerstad played in 150 games, hit for a .343 batting average with a 1.011 On Base Plus Sluggin percentage. In 595 At bats Kjerstad hit 37 home runs, drove in 129 RBIs and walked 54 times.

The Colorado Rockies have signed journeyman outfielder Matt Kemp according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today to a minor league contract. Both parties had been in extended contract negotiations but the Rockies timetable got pushed up by the universal DH rule and Ian Desmond’s announcements that he would opt out of the 2020 season.

And the Korean Baseball Organization has announced that fans will be allowing fans back into the stadium within the next few days. Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News reports that teams will allow roughly one third of their usual capacity with three additional stipulations.
