Pitch Perfect (The Podcast Not The Movie)

Join us as we now try to piece together the shit puzzle that is the filmography of comedian, actor, and 90's stoner star Pauly Shore. After having our souls tortured by watching and reviewing a selection of his films, we're now gonna apply everything we have learned, and pitch, for you, the perfect Pauly Shore movie.

Against all odds, we've done it. We've consumed garbage in the form of awful Pauly Shore films and puked back up pure gold. You're welcome, and also we're very sorry.

We hope you'll listen in and journey with us as we create this miraculous wonder, but, also, we do not blame you if you want to skip ahead to 1:36:47 and just hear the glorious final product.

We're finally free, and will never return to On Distant Shores!

Let's travel now, to the present, and see how much Pauly Shore has changed as an actor. Oh, he hasn't? Like, at all? After that whole dreadful, awful excuse for a movie where the whole point was that he was going to try and be Adam Sandler? Huh. Weird. Well, guess we're stuck in this dick-bong filled Guest House, surrounded by drugged up possum puppets. Wait, is that...Bobby Lee?! Oh no, buddies!!

Swim harder so we can get out of this nightmare that is On Distant Shores!

Oh, my sweet darlings. My poor innocents. You don't know. You couldn't know. We didn't either. And now, we opened the face-melting Ark Of The Covenant that is Pauly Shore Is Dead, and we learned what unspeakable horrors wait for us in the beyond. Our eyes have seen what is not to be seen. Don't watch this film, we beg of you. The horrors...the horrors! You can listen to us make dumb jokes as we complain about it, though.

Dear god, help us because we're doomed On Distant Shores!

Actually, forget all that nonsense, dude and or dudette! We're now all about Doyle! Doyletime all the time! Doyle is king, and we are unworthy! Let Doyle in, and he shall probably cheat on you, eat some toenails, and then blow up a badger with some fireworks! Freakin' radical, bro. Hey, by the way, how do you feel about yogurt?

Everything's perfectly fine and nothing is wrong On Distant Shoyles!

We've been summoned! Summoned to see a movie no one else saw, Pauly Shore's critically panned Jury Duty. Will this help us rise to the occasion like the brave Peanut chasing his dreams of winning Jeopardy, or will we find ourselves tied up in litigation, blamed for a crime we didn't commit, and covered in milk? Tune in to find out!

We're currently going insane On Distant Shores!

Yep, just like Ernest, Pauly Shore goes into the army. Now. And we have to watch him be in the army. Now. We suffered for you, the listeners, because no one else should have to watch this awful excuse for a movie. Also, maybe we didn't have to. But we did, and here we are. Hoo boy.

In our sophomore episode of our sophomore seaSon-In-Law, we're talking about Son...In Law. Which is a movie, that exists, with Pauly Shore in it, Carla Gugino is also there, along with a farm or something, and we watched it. Here ya go.

It's the start of a similar journey, but this time we made a worse decision in who we're focusing on, which we'll very soon regret. For now though, in this premiere episode, it's time to wheeze the jui-uice, do some dancing, and avoid the despicable Dave as we dive straight into an empty pool-shaped hole in the ground.

We have reached the end of our Ernest journey and the time has come to pitch the perfect Ernest film. Spoiler Alert: We succeed but perhaps a little too well. Skip to 1:48:55 if you just want to hear the pitch but I would advise you to listen to the whole wild ride.

We've all been there. You're trying to record the season finale of your podcast about the character Ernest P. Worrel but then a fictional mad scientist played by the same actor as the character you're covering hijacks your show and makes you watch a whole movie just because Ernest has an extremely brief cameo at the end. This is relatable content.
