Usually when a storm is brewing, one should not plan to go outside, but rather find shelter. Well, and sometimes you just need to go outside and look at what’s about to come down; face the storm so to speak. It reminded me of an experience I had with my daughter when we were on a hike and it started to rain. We decided to keep going even though it started to pour and we got soaked. And though it felt uncomfortable, we both felt very comfortable being out there with each other and having a story to tell that we won’t forget!

Zurich is usually ranked among the top 5 cities in the world to live in. So grateful to be able to explore it again with a friend. Here we are at the Lindenhof, from where you have a beautiful view over the old city, and a little story about how the women of Zurich defended the city during as siege in 1292. They dressed in full battle gear in order to trick the Habsburg army into thinking that the city was well protected while their men were busy campaigning at Winterthur!
