Pittsburgh CityCast

In our first NFL gameday podcast, former pro and college scout Matt Williamson joins me to preview the first Steelers game of the year. We also recap the Thursday opener, get some playoff projections and odds, plus some picks for the first Sunday of the season.

In Saturday's Pittsburgh CityCast Tim Benz and Mike Prisuta tell you why the point spread in the Steelers-Bills game makes a lot more sense than the total. One of the guys is jumping off the Baltimore bandwagon because of all the injuries, the other is still on board. There appear to be some sweet locks on the NFL schedule. Mike has a sure-fire baseball formula. And the guys look at Pitt-Tennessee

Mike Tomlin has an update on T.J. Watt and some keys for a Steelers Week 1 win in Buffalo. Tim Benz will tell you how that information should influence your Steelers-Bills betting strategy. One Pittsburgh media member likes the Bills to win big. And someone in Cleveland thinks the Browns will own the AFC North.

While the Pirates had a lousy weekend in Chicago, Tim had a decent first weekend against the number in college football. We are still waiting for the T.J. Watt contract extension. The ACC is off to a rotten start. The Brian Kelly controversy is stupid. And we have our first Madden Monday segment with Mark Madden.

It's our first college football weekend for the Pittsburgh CityCast. So we have predictions on Pitt, Penn State, WVU, and even Duquesne as they try to cover a 49.5 point spread at TCU. Tim Benz tells you why Tom Brady even has Steelers fans on his side these days, and we check out some of his prop bets. There's good money to be had on a long-time Steelers rival. And Sean Casey holds court with an unforgettable story about catching the Wrigley flu.

In Thursday’s podcast, Adam “PacMan” Jones is still ripping the Steelers. Tim plays psychologist for Steelers fans dealing with emotional scars from some bad quarterbacking history. Some Ben Roethlisberger props are tricky even though they appear to make sense. There is some value on one Najee Harris bet. We get a look at the Bengals to start our AFC North preview. And Pitt football just got $20 million. Can that finally buy the Panthers a 10 win season?

Tim Benz discusses what you can look forward to on this new podcast (including free comedy!). When in doubt, bet against the Pirates. A brief look at the Steelers opener hosting the Bills. Tim looks at Steelers' prop bets. Also, Matt Williamson previews the season.
